Uxmal is an archeological zone located south of Merida. Its’ monumental construction exalts the Mayan culture. Kabáh is another archeological zone south of Uxmal which stands out for its’ Palace of the Masks, which is an artificial platform with beautifully decorated walls.
The Celestun Ria is an area of beautiful beaches, located west of Merida. Besides its’ natural beauty, Celestún is where one of the most exotic species adorns the beach, when in season, the pink flamingos.
